As the month of June flew by at full speed, there are service notifications from our partner carrier and other Stallion news that we cannot wait to share with you!

General Updates

Stallion Account Address Validation

June 30, our IT included an address validation feature that you can enable or disable, which is applicable to both Canadian and U.S. addresses provided. Once enabled on your account, the suggested address will be skipped altogether.

This aims to offer a more seamless delivery process once it’s finally on the way to your recipient.

June 7

• France: Media sources last June 2 reported that postal workers at the sorting centers in Saint-Nazaire, Pornichet, Montoir-de-Bretagne, and La Baule Bertho would launch strike action starting from June 7. The indefinite strike was announced by the CGT FAPT union.

Delays in postal services should therefore be anticipated.

June 6 

As of June 6, the following countries have been experiencing service delays due to numerous factors:

• Germany: Media sources reported on June 6 that heavy storms affected southern and western parts of the country.

Localized disruption to traffic and business has been reported.

• United Kingdom: Sources indicated on May 31 that the postal workers' union representing the Royal Mail workers warned of the parcel and delivery delays as about 2,400 staff in more than 1,000 workplaces will be balloted for strikes.

The nationwide strike action is reportedly in response to job cuts. The vote is set to take place between June 6 and June 29.

June 3

As of June 3, the following countries have further continued:

• Australia: We have been alerted by the USPS that they will be resuming the following services:
  • Priority Mail International (PMI)
  • Airmail M-bags
  • International Priority Airmail (IPA) M-bags
  • International Surface Air Lift (ISAL) M-bags

• China: We have also been alerted by the USPS that they will be resuming the following services:
  • Priority Mail International (PMI)
  • First-Class Package International Service (FCPIS)
  • International Priority Airmail (IPA) M-bags
  • International Surface Air Lift (ISAL) M-bags

APC Postal Logistics will reinstate these services based on your service level.
